Another great Mini Meet on the Isle of Man.
A total of thirty-two Minis took to the roads, eleven visitors from the UK and twenty-one local cars took part.
It was the second meeting the Manx Mini Register has organised over the weekend of the 25th and 26th June 2011.
The event began with a visit to the Creg-ny-Baa public house for food and getting to know one another on the evening of Friday 24th June.
An early start at the TT Grandstand pit lane got underway on the Saturday taking the entrants a tour round the middle of the island using a "Tulip" style road book ending up at St Johns for a well deserved break for lunch.
After an hour and a half break, via the road book the competitors got underway again to Santon for a simple blindfold auto-test, which as last year caused great hilarity.
From Santon everyone progressed to King Williams college in the south of the island for a regularity run on closed roads through the grounds of the college, every competitor had two runs on this one and the time nearest a preset given time was taken.
Haydn Minay with John Bateson navigating won.

Sunday morning another early start at the pit lane of the TT grandstand to make the short distance run to the Marine Drive in Douglas. The whole 3 miles of the Marine Drive was closed, with single lane access through the part which has been closed for many years due to land slip.
A little foggy at the first but everyone had two runs through and became the highlight of the weekend.

Once again the organisers would like to thank Tower Insurance and Mini World for their support of what we hope to be a regular event, see here for the link to next years event.
